Achieving effective judicial reform in administrative justice

This project proposal is designed to reflect the idea of ​​achieving an adequate and effective judicial system in Bulgaria, through the necessary institutional and regulatory reforms, which is fully consistent with the concept of the Updated Strategy for Continuing Judicial Reform. On the one hand, the project addresses problems related to practical imperfections in the administrative procedure in the context of absorption of European funds, and on the other hand, is aimed at promoting civic participation in the implementation of strategic measures for the reform of the judiciary, including increasing confidence in the judiciary by achieving transparency. To achieve this, the Foundation "Economics and Law", in the spirit of its mission to develop research and development in the field of law, plans to perform the following main activities: Analysis and evaluation of implemented measures of the strategies for reform in the judicial system of Bulgaria in the field of administrative justice; Case monitoring; Preparation of a report from a comparative analysis of good practices in the field of administrative justice reform; Development of a mechanism and tools for feedback and assessment by citizens and businesses for the implemented measures of the judicial reform in the administrative justice; Organizing a forum to encourage active participation in the dialogue between the target groups; The expected results of the project are expressed in increased civil control over the reform of the judiciary and an increase in the number of actively involved NGOs in this process, recommendations for improving the judiciary and transferred good practices, as a result of which support will increase the effectiveness of the work of the institutions of the judiciary and will increase public confidence in them.
