Functioning of the District Information Point of Silistra

Current project proposal of Silistra Municipality aims at continuing the functioning of District Information Point – Silistra as a part of the existing network of 27 DIPs. The network supports the implementation of Bulgaria`s commitments as an EU member state to inform its citizens about the European Structural and Investment Funds; to sustain high level of awareness about the Partnership Agreement and Operational Programmes, and opportunities provided under the EU funds. Targets will be met through performance of 4 interrelated activities: ensuring the functioning of DIP; elaboration and dissemination of information and promotional materials; organization of public events and work with media; ensuring publicity and visibility of the project. Easy access to expert and up-to-date information is vital for all applicants and beneficiaries. Ensuring publicity and transparency builds up confidence in people for the direct benefits and forms positive attitude and trust towards interaction of all stakeholders in order to meet the targets of 2014-2020 programming period. As a result of the project implementation will be secured equal access to free and reliable information for all target groups; increased readiness of the potential beneficiaries to submit project proposals. Dissemination of information and promotional materials, sharing good practices and working with media will increase recognition of European Structural and Investment Funds and Operational Programmes in every citizen. Provision of reliable support on site at the local DIP office, use of modern communication channels, organization and conduction of public events in partnership with MA, local public administrations, NGOs and other networks based on specific district and target groups requirements will enhance capacity of applicants and beneficiaries and will increase the number of successful EU funded projects.
