Ensuring the functioning of Regional Information Centre –Targovishte

The Network of 28 information centres for popularization of the EU Cohesion Policy in Bulgaria, comprising 27 Regional Information Centres (RIC) and a Central Information and Coordination Office (CICO) has been operating in the country since 2012. The 27 RICs function on the one-stop-shop principle cooperating actively with the Managing Authorities, as they assist them in the information campaigns conducted in the respective regions. During the period 2007-2013, the RIC Network provided information on the programme-related funding opportunities illegible for co-financing under the EU Structural and Cohesion Funds (SCF). Regional Information Centre-Targovishte has been set up and functioning in compliance with Contract №BG161PO002-3.3.02-002-C0003 of 12.07.2011, funded under Operative Programme “Technical Assistance”. In the period 2015-2023, the Network shall provide information and shall popularize the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF). Through the present Project Proposal, Targovishte Municipality will continue the effective functioning of RIC-Targovishte, thus ensuring free and full access to the information on the funding opportunities under ESIF for all social, ethnic and age population groups living in Targovishte region. In this way, the already identified need of potential beneficiaries on regional level of precise and explicit information about the up-to-date funding opportunities under the Funding Period 2014-2020 shall be met. Through the implementation of the project activities, a wide range of possibilities of acquiring the above mentioned information (on the spot, by phone, via E-mail, field consultancy/stall, information events etc.) shall be provided and measures to improve transparency and awareness of the EU-funded projects among the general public shall be worked out and implemented.
