Effective functioning of Regional Information Center in Plovdiv

The aim of the project is to ensure the effective functioning of the Regional Information Center in Plovdiv and to raise the awareness of the citizens about the opportunities which the European structural and investment funds are offering. The role of the Regional Information center–Plovdiv is to popularize the role of the EU and to inform about the opportunities for financing by programs;it ensures transparency about the process of implementation and management of the programs and to maintain the already established social trust and support towards the Partnership agreement and the programs. In relation to the abovementioned, the personnel, hired through the project, will realize the following activities which adequately correspond to the aims of the project:distribution of common information about the EU policies,the Partnership Agreement,the management and implementation of the ESIF;the project will give concrete information to the potential beneficiaries about funding opportunities by programs,co-financed by ESIF;there will be organization of events for the popularization of the programs,co-financed by ESIF; there will be acquiring and distribution of information and popularization of the best practices in relation to ESIF;there will be distribution of information and advertisement material about the aims, the ways and the opportunities for financing by ESIF in Bulgaria;there will be cooperation with the management authorities of Operational Programs and work with national,regional media and other networks which distribute information about the EU.The implementation of the “Effective Functioning of Regional Information Center in Plovdiv” will help one to receive fast,accessible information in time,related to the EU Funds.As a result of the project,there will be high awareness for the citizens and the stakeholders about ESIF and there will be enhanced participation in different call for proposals of Operational Programs, co-financed by the EU.
