Ensure effective functioning of Regional Information Centre Sofia city district and Sofia District for promotion European Structural and Investment Fund in Bulgaria

This project is in response to the necessity for infor. about recent opportunities for ESIF in Bulgaria by providing easy, full and equal access to all social, ethnic, age groups, and incl. people with disabilities in the region of Sofia city district and Sofia District. The project will upgrade the achieved results by ensuring the effective functioning of the Reg. Information Centre (RIC) in Sofia and aims to raise public awareness, accessibility to infor. and promotion of fundraising opportunities that the European Union (EU) provides through the 2014-2020 programming period. Main objectives of the project are: - To provide preconditions and resources for effective functioning of the RIC in operating for the region of Sofia city district and Sofia District. - To ensure equal and full access, broad awareness and active communication and to encourage participation of the population and stakeholders for the EU cohesion policy, its objectives and opportunities in Bulgaria on the territory of Sofia city district and Sofia District. To achieve those objectives, the following activities are planned, grouped as follows: Ongoing maintenance of the Reg. IC in Sofia; Development and dissemination of infor. materials; Organizing, conducting and participating in public infor. events, media work, seminars, trainings, conferences, exhibitions, etc.; Publicity and visualization project. Through the planned activities project will achieve the following results: A functioning Reg. IC providing full, adequate free access for citizens and visitors on the territiry of Sofia city ang the municipalities of Sofia District about funding opportunities from ESIF for calls related soc., ethnic, aging, incl. people with disabilities, through provision of getting information in different ways - on site, by phone, by e-mail; Conducted 162 infor. meetings, 4 interactive events, 3 campaigns; Provided 3700 consultations by phone, email or on spot in the office of Reg. Infor. Center in Sofia.
