Effective functioning of Regional information center - Burgas

Regional Information Center – Burgas (RIC-Burgas) is a leading structure in providing and disseminating information about funding opportunities under the EU SCF. Promotion of financial support and European policies is the main mission of RIC-Burgas, aimed at representatives of all target groups in the region of Burgas. During the last programming period, RIC-Burgas managed to create a network of contacts and fruitful cooperation with local bodies of municipal and state authorities as Burgas Municipality, and the other 12 municipalities in the region, the Regional Administration Burgas, a number of NGOs, media, educational institutions. As a result of diligent and ambitious activities of the center, its information campaigns reach the general public, citizens and guests of the whole area. To ensure sustainability, continuity and building on the achievements made so far, this project proposal aims at providing the necessary conditions and prerequisites for the continued effective operation and functioning of the RIC-Burgas. The emphasis in the activities of the center will be put on providing and disseminating information and promoting the EU cohesion policy in Bulgaria, but it will be extended as well comprising details about the funding possibilities under the Programme for Rural Development and the Programme for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries part of the ESIF. In the new programming period, RIC-Burgas will keep on providing expert assistance and answers to questions aksed on the spot, e-mail, telephone by potential beneficiaries; to maintain active communication and cooperation with the MU of the OP, the information centers in the country, as well as the information network of the European Commission; interact actively with national and regional media, to organize and conduct information campaigns; events, meetings and national initiatives of the Network; develop and disseminate information materials (printed, electronic, audiovisual).
