With the present project proposal, the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo will continue its support for development and effective functioning of Regional information centre – Veliko Tarnovo (RIC), which is a part of the 27 Regional information centres’ network. The project will ensure sustainability and continuity of the activities for promoting EU Cohesion policy, the new programme period and the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027, providing up to date and reliable information about the programme opportunities for 2014-2020 period, raising the awareness about the EU funds and programmes, as well as presenting successfully implemented projects and good practices in Veliko Tarnovo region. The project will also contribute for ensuring transparency about the use of the EU funding. RIC–Veliko Tarnovo will continue to provide four main services – information, communication, expert and logistic, in order to guarantee equal and easy access to information and to encourage the potential beneficiaries’ activity. The project envisages organization of information events for different target groups in the region, assistance in organizing events with the managing authorities and participation in the national initiatives and campaigns carried out by the RIC’s network. The project will add up to the already achieved results and will contribute and guarantee the effective functioning of RIC – Veliko Tarnovo in the period 2019-2021. Observing Regulation (EU) 1303/2013 during the implementation of the project activities the principles for good governance, efficiency and transparency and the horizontal policies will be followed. All the measures relevant to the project to prevent any discrimination based on sex, racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, age or sexual orientation and to ensure equal access, equal opportunities and social inclusion for all vulnerable groups are envisaged.
