The current project proposal is intended to ensure the efficient functioning of the EU District Information Point in the Ruse district for the period 2019-2021. The project is an extension of the Effective Functioning of EU District Information Point – Ruse project, executed within the Operational Programme "Good Governance” (OPGG) funded by the European Social Fund. The project proposal envisages execution of the activity "Ensuring of the functioning of DIP – Ruse for the period 2019-2021”, and plans to achieve results contributing to the general goals of the National Communication Strategy, namely: - promoting the EU role and providing information about programme funding opportunities; - ensuring maximum transparency in the programme execution and management process; - building and maintaining high public trust in the execution and management processes of the Partnership Agreement and the programmes. The execution of the activities under this project is aimed at achieving a high level of awareness through the provision of current, free and expert information regarding financial support opportunities via ESIF funding. In the course of the project execution, the horizontal principles of the EU will be applied, by holding consultations with the parties concerned, public discussions (partnership), encouraging equality between men and women, and prevention of discrimination in performing the project subactivities, while accounting for the social aspects of gender; preventing discrimination based on sex, race, ethnicity, religion or faith, disabilities, age or sexual orientation, foreseeing the necessities of the various target groups subject to risk of such discrimination; ensuring access for people with disabilities. The project adheres to the already established working practice with minimum use of paper, providing the necessary information to the clients mainly in electronic form, and using resources in an efficient and sustainable manner.
