The overall objective of the project is through the activities of regional information center in Kardzhali to raise the awareness of the inhabitants of Kardzhali District and access to information about the financing opportunities provided by the EU. The specific objectives of the project are to promote these opportunities, increase transparency and public confidence in the processes of implementation and management of operational programs. The main activity of the project is to ensure the functioning of the center in the period 2019-2021. Experts in the Center will continue to provide free information to potential beneficiaries about the opportunities for application under the Operational Programs. They will also organize information events in the 7 municipalities of Kardzhali District. Citizens will be provided with materials on the purposes, ways and opportunities for EU funding in Bulgaria. In the course of the project, 51 information events and 3 national initiatives will be held, a leaflet and a handbook "Europe and us" will be disseminated. The concept of the project proposal corresponds to the main goals of the National Communication Strategy and its implementation will contribute to their achievement. The implementation of the principles of partnership, promotion of equality between men and women and non-discrimination as well as sustainable development is the leading role in the activities of the JRC - Kardzhali. Experts from the center provide information and invite citizens to participate in events, regardless of gender, age, religion, health, and social status. The events include representatives of various stakeholders, encouraging the establishment and maintenance of partnerships between them. The provision of information from the center on good practice in different spheres is aimed at developing environmentally friendly administration and business, sustainable and efficient use of resources for protection of the environment .
