Provision of effective functioning of Regional Information Centre Sofia city district and Sofia District for promotion European Structural and Investment Fund in Bulgaria during the period 2019-2021

By means of the present project proposal Sofia Municipality will continue to carry out the activities related to the functioning of the Regional Information Center - Sofia, which is part of the network of 27 regional information centers. With a view to ensuring sustainability, continuity and upgrading of what was achieved up to this point, the present project proposal is aimed at providing the necessary conditions and prerequisites for continuing the effective operation and functioning of the RIC-Sofia. The emphasis in the Center's activity will continue to be to provide and disseminate information and to promote the EU's Cohesion Policy in Bulgaria. The project will ensure continuity of the activities for providing timely and reliable information on the opportunities available under the different Operational Programs, raising awareness of European funds, programs co-funded by the ESIF as well as presenting already implemented projects and to promoting good practices. The project addresses the need to provide up-to-date, free-of-charge and expert information on the possibilities for financial support by ESIF funds and will build on the knowledge for European funds and programs, while RIC-Sofia will work towards increasing transparency in program implementation and management. The project will build on the results achieved so far by implementing the following main activities: - Dissemination of general information on EU policies, the Partnership Agreement, the management and implementation of the ESIF, and the provision of concrete information to potential beneficiaries on the opportunities to apply under programs co-financed by the ESIF; - Organizing events to promote programs co-funded by the ESIF; - Dissemination of information and promotional materials on the objectives and opportunities for ESIF funding in Bulgaria;
