Veliko Tarnovo regional information centre - supporting the European development of Veliko Tarnovo district

With the present project proposal the municipality of Veliko Tarnovo will support the effective functioning of the Regional information centre – Veliko Tarnovo (RIC), which is a part of the 27 Regional information centres’ network. The project will ensure continuity of the activities for promoting EU Cohesion policy, the new programme period and the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027, providing up to date and reliable information about the programme opportunities for 2022-2023 period, co-financed by ESIF, raising the awareness about the EU funds and programmes, as well as presenting successfully implemented projects and good practices in Veliko Tarnovo region. The project will also contribute for ensuring transparency about the use of the EU funding. RIC–Veliko Tarnovo will continue to provide four main services – information, communication, expert and logistic, in order to guarantee equal and easy access to information and to encourage the potential beneficiaries’ activity. The project envisages organization of information events for different target groups in the region, assistance in organizing events with the managing authorities and participation in the national initiatives and campaigns carried out by the RIC’s network. The active co-operation with the managing authorities, regional institutions and organizations, the municipalities in Veliko Tarnovo region, educational organizations, regional mass media and other information networks will continue. During the implementation of the project activities the principles for good governance, efficiency and transparency and the horizontal policies and principles for partnership, gender equality, nondiscrimination and sustainable development, will be followed.
