Provision of effective functioning of Regional Information Centre Sofia city district and Sofia District for promotion European Structural and Investment Fund in Bulgaria during the period 2022-2023

Through this present project proposal, Sofia Municipality will continue to implement the activities related to the functioning of the Regional Information Center - Sofia, which is part of the network of 27 regional information centers. In order to ensure sustainability, continuity and upgrade of what has been achieved so far, this project proposal is aimed at providing the necessary conditions and prerequisites for the continuation of the effective operation and functioning of the RIC - Sofia. The main activity of the center will again be providing information and promoting the EU Cohesion Policy in Bulgaria. The project will ensure continuity of activities to provide timely and reliable information on the opportunities provided by the individual Operational Programs, to raise awareness of European funds, to present already implemented projects and promote good practices. The project proposal will build on what has been achieved so far and will continue to provide up-to-date, free and expert information on ESIF funding. At the same time, RIC - Sofia will continue to work consciously and purposefully to increase transparency in the implementation and management of programs. The project will support the implementation of the following main activities: - Dissemination of information on EU policies, the Partnership Agreement, management and implementation of the ESIF, as well as providing specific information to potential beneficiaries on the opportunities to apply for the programs. - Organizing events to promote the programs. - Dissemination of information and advertising materials about the goals, ways and possibilities for financing. - The RIC will work in partnership and coordination with the Mediation Unit and the Public Consultation Unit of the expert staff of the Regional Development Councils (RDCs) in the implementation of Integrated Territorial Investments (ITI).
