Vocational training for farmers to upgrade their knowledge and skills leading to the competitiveness of their farms.

The main objective of the project proposal is to increase the knowledge and skills of farmers and their employees by including them in courses and seminars on topics related to veterinary requirements in the implementation of measures for the prevention and eradication of infectious animal diseases and enhancing the biosecurity of livestock facilities, and with the knowledge and skills acquired, farmers will be able to increase their competitiveness and resource efficiency, improve environmental performance index approximates to their farms, while contributing to sustainable rural economy. The project also aims to improve human potential through the dissemination of knowledge and skills development in agriculture, to provide an adequate level of technical and economic knowledge and skills in product quality and safety, organic production and sustainable management of natural resources. The main activities are the organization and delivery of 37 pcs. 30-hour courses (in 5 topics) and 38 pcs. 18-hour seminars (in 5 topics) on topics related to the prevention and overcoming of complicated epizootic conditions, including improvement of biosecurity on the farm. The activities target 3390 small business owners and their employees, as well as young farmers from all over the country who have been approved for funding under the measures on the Thematic Sub-Program for Small Farms or under sub-measure 6.1, measure 10 or 11 of the RDP 2014 -2020. As a result of the implemented activities, it is expected that 1110 persons will be trained in 30-hour courses and 2280 persons will be trained in 18-hour seminars. As a result of the training, 1110 persons are expected to receive documents for further training and 2280 persons - certificates.
