"Transfer of knowledge and innovation in agriculture and forestry"

With the implementation of the project "Transfer of knowledge and innovations in the field of agriculture and forestry", we aim to spread scientific knowledge and practical skills among the agricultural and forestry enterprises, as well as the employees in them. The project includes 3 information activities "Workshops“, each of them consists of 18 hours, with 40 participants in one group as follows: Workshop Crop Production “Saffron Growing”, Workshop Crop Production "Essential oil crops growing- Lavender Plants", Workshop "Forestry" 18 hours. There will also be two training courses of 30 hours duration, with 20 participants in each course as follows: "Vegetable Production" Crop Production Training course; "Forestry" Course. Topics such as: Main agri-environmental information activity under Measure 214 "Agri-environment payments" will be considered; Organic farming; Green farming; Food Safety; Environmental protection measures on agricultural holdings; Introduction to the innovations in vegetable growing technologies; Innovations in technologies for cultivation of different types of essential oils and saffron; Opportunities for increasing productivity and quality of production in Vegetable production; Optimization of technologies for growing organic vegetables. With the knowledge and skills acquired through the implementation of the project, farmers and foresters will be able to increase their competitiveness and resource efficiency, improve the environmental performance of their farms, and at the same time it will contribute to a sustainable rural economy. The place of the workshops and training courses is in the town of Smolyan at the "Science Center for Agriculture and Livestock".
