Raising knowledge and improving farmers' skills

Eight curricula have been developed for training courses of 150 and 30 hours. The programs fully meet the main objectives of the CAP, namely to increase competitiveness and balance of agriculture in the country, protect ecosystems and sustainable management, use of natural resources in agriculture, prevent climate change and adapt to them. The curricula developed are aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of farmers and the persons employed on their farm. With the knowledge and skills acquired, farmers will increase their competitiveness, improve the environmental performance of their farms. The course content is highlighted in separate subjects and topics. It is consistent with ensuring healthy working conditions, protecting the environment in agriculture, conditions for maintaining land in good agricultural and environmental condition and rules for good agricultural practice, compliance with Bulgarian and European legislation. During the specific compulsory vocational training classes, farmers will gain knowledge and skills in accordance with new techniques and technological solutions, the introduction of innovative practices and the latest results from completed environmental research projects.
