Decentralized smart system for tracing the origin and quality of goods The project leads to improved visibility of the supply chain by building trust among all actors: producer-trader / processor-consumer, ie. through the system, everyone can receive transparent and reliable information about the origin and quality of their food.

The project will contribute to improved visibility of the food / food supply chain and, on a longer-term scale, build lasting trust between all actors: producer-trader / processor-consumer, ie. through a decentralized system, anyone can obtain transparent and reliable information about the origin and quality of their food. The expected main results of the activities are: • Report of a study carried out on the use of blockchain technology to trace the origin and quality of goods produced, in particular greenhouse cucumber production. Opportunities for application of blockchain technology and other (greenhouse and field) vegetables and fruits • Analysis report on the attitudes of farmers and end-users on the use of blockchain technology to track the origin and quality of goods produced • A decentralized system for tracing the origin and quality of manufactured goods has been developed and implemented. Software and specific intellectual property related thereto • Multiplication of project results, incl. promoting its use for other vegetable crops - greenhouses and arable crops, and permanent crops through information meetings, seminars and conferences; publications and broadcasts in regional media • Contribution to the EU practical knowledge collection through the EPI Agri Network by information materials developed for this purpose The ultimate benefits are in two ways: - farmers as actors in the supply chain: an opportunity to guarantee the origin and quality of end users - demographic groups willing to pay more for origin and quality and thus generate higher added value of the goods they produce - end consumers of vegetables and fruits - receive transparent and reliable information on the origin, transport and quality of their food
