The squares of Tervel are pedestrian zones that build up the street network, providing pedestrian access to public buildings and retail outlets. The Tervel squares are three, located on three levels. The Old Oak is located at Level 1. The pavement is built between years 1982-1983 and is implemented of concrete ironing slabs. As a result of long use and mechanical ice and snow cleaning (the necessity of this is determined by the large area of the zones), the pavement is deformed and destroyed. The need of a major renovation is clearly shown. The communications networks under the square are completed and are in good condition. The implementation of the present project proposal is aimed at improving the appearance of the settlement by renovation the pavement of a separate location (recreation area) from the Old Oak Square. The old concrete slabs will be replaced with vibropressed concrete pavers. Before the new pavement laying, the existing slabs and the base under them will be dismantled and a new foundation will be made of crushed stone, concrete and a sandy pad. The retaining walls will be lined with natural stone (gneisse) .
