Study, preservation and socialization of the local cultural and historical heritage in the municipality of Strazhitsa

This project proposal is in implementation of PRIORITY 2: TOURISM AND CULTURAL-HISTORICAL HERITAGE, Specific Objective 2.2 "Socialization and Marketing of Cultural and Historical Assets", from the Municipal Development Plan of Strazhitsa Municipality for 2014-2020. potential for exploration and development of local cultural and historical heritage. 67 archaeological sites - mounds, mound necropolises, fortresses, settlements of different epochs - Roman, Bronze, Iron, Late Iron, Middle Neolithic, Late Neolithic, Eneolithic, First and Second Bulgarian States were identified on the territory of the Municipality of Strazhitsa. They were discovered in accidental field studies, and systematic searches of archaeological sites were not made on the territory of the municipality. The list of these sites is outdated and inaccurate. The purpose of this project proposal is to carry out a field archaeological survey / survey on the territory of the municipality, to define the GPS coordinates and the boundaries of the archaeological sites and to prepare an analysis / assessment / of the sites on the territory, in terms of the opportunities for socialization and marketing. To get a real idea of ​​the archaeological sites on the territory and about the opportunities and responsibilities of the municipality regarding the development and conservation of these sites. The project proposal includes also the identification of movable cultural assets, according to art. 98, par. 3 of the Cultural Heritage Act, in order to become part of a public collection and can be exhibited. Restoration and conservation of cultural values ​​will be carried out. The project will conclude with an exhibition presenting the project results and exhibiting cultural values.
