“The Path of the Traditions - a new dimension in the preservation and promotion of the cultural and historical heritage of the town of Lyaskovets”

The Project “The Path of the Traditions - a new dimension in the preservation and promotion of the cultural and historical heritage of the town of Lyaskovets” provides an opportunity for better engagement of the local community in preserving the specific local culture associated with the immigrant gardening and the traditional lifestyle of the people from the Lyaskovets. During the project, the existing exhibitions of the Museum of Immigrant Gardening will be used as a basis for the "live" presentation of traditional culture. The main activities for the implementation of the project proposal are: 1. An event-performance, dedicated to the Immigrant gardening and focusing on the unique watering technology applied by the people from Lyaskovets. 2. Workshops for traditional crafts, showcasing to the local lifestyle and its characteristics. 3. Demonstrations in the museum including items from the exhibition in order to transform the static exposure of exhibition objects and providing better engagement on the part of the visitors. 4. Conducting a study in two parts - the unique vegetable varieties, selected in Lyaskovets and a history of the gardeners - preserved memories that are kept by the local families.
