Study of Settlement mound Gorski Senovets village, Strazhitsa municipality

The project proposal envisages exploration of a prehistoric settlement mound, located in the southeastern end of the village of Gorski Senovets, Strazhitsa municipality. The mound is of the utmost importance with a strategic location and is a perspective object for exploration and exposure. Despite the great importance of this kind of monuments for the knowledge of the development of prehistoric civilizations not only in the Bulgarian lands, but also in Europe and the Mediterranean, none of these exceptional monuments on the territory of Bulgaria is exposed. The study and further exposure of the impressive profile of this prehistoric mound with powerful cultural strata of 5-3 millennia before Christ as well as adequate and popularization would lead to an increase in the tourist flow of the municipality as it will be the only object of this type exhibited in Bulgaria. This project proposal is in implementation of PRIORITY 2: TOURISM AND CULTURAL-HISTORICAL HERITAGE, Specific Objective 2.2 "Socialization and Marketing of Cultural and Historical Assets", Measure 2.2.1 "Study and promotion of the local cultural and historical heritage" of the Municipal Plan for development of Strazhitsa municipality for the period 2014-2020
