„Reconstruction and rehabilitation of streets in the villages of Mosomishte and Breznitsa, Gotse Delchev Municipality“

The project incl. construction works for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of separate sections of 3 streets in the villages of Mosomishte and Breznitsa. The activities are: preparation and asphalting of the street lane, drainage and curb building and preparation and laying of a pavement on street sidewalks. The overall objective is to improve living conditions by enhancing the quality of the living environment and thus reducing disparities with agglomeration areas. This is part of the overall strategy , which would help to expand opportunities for their economic growth and attractiveness, both in order to keep the local population and to attract the interest of investors, tourists and others. The specific objective of the project is to improve the traffic-performance characteristics of the streets in order to ensure the conditions of traffic safety, comfort of the passengers and good drainage. The expected outcome is an improved environment and quality of life of the population and increased attractiveness of the territory by: 1. Upgrading the technical infrastructure, which increases the attractiveness of the settlements as a place of life, will have an impact on the retention of young people, will create preconditions for activating the economic microclimate and hence on employment; 2.Development of the street network and ensuring equal access for all groups of society to the improved infrastructure that provides direct transport connectivity to the two villages with higher class roads; Improving the vision of the two settlements and increasing their potential for tourism and agriculture development and for attracting investments. The activities that the municipality will implement are related to the preparation and conducting of tenders for the selection of a contractor and the subsequent implementation of investor control over the implementation of the project. The main activities of the contractor are repairs on the street lane and sidewalks.
