Intangible cultural heritage is passed on from generation to generation and is constantly recreated in response to changes in the social and cultural environment. It connects people, groups and communities and gives them a sense of identity and continuity, as well as a guarantee of sustainable development. The project proposal aims to save, preserve and restore the historical, cultural and rural identity of village of Bolyarino - part of the Rakovski Municipality territory. The envisaged activities under the project put the focus on the bearers of the intangible cultural heritage - "living human treasures" and will contribute both to their public recognition and to the preservation of their knowledge and skills and their transfer to the next generations. Through an annual festival, Community center "Hristo Botev - village Bolyarino - 1999" aims to revive the memory of the great names of Bulgarian traditional music: Minio Georgiev, Marko Minev, Denitza Lafchieva, Georgi Minev and many others for the young generation but also for the people living in the territory of LAG Rakovski. The format of the festival is conceived as a musical competition which participants will be orchestras where famous musicians born in the village played. The first edition is dedicated to the most famous saxophonist and longtime member of the orchestra "Kanarite" - Minio Georgiev. The realization of the project will help preserve the authentic wealth of the region and will be a valuable resource for the development of cultural tourism, which will result in improvement of the lives of people in the territory of LAG Rakovski.
