Renovation of sports playgrounds in Secondary School “Maksim Raykovitch” – town of Lyaskovets

The main problem of the region is the lack of possibilities for financing a renovation of the sports playgrounds in the schools and raising funds for improvement of the conditions on the sports playgrounds. It is important to be noted that the main stakeholders of the renovation of the sports playgrounds and the running track are the students and the teachers of Secondary School “Maksim Raykovitch” who use the facilities every day during the Physical education classes and other activities. In the last years there is an increase in the interest of using sports playgrounds and the running track for other sport events. The main problem, which requires the implementation of the current project, is the bad condition of the running track, whose ground is compromised and with growing vegetation on. Other problem is the sports playground next to the inner fence, that is compromised, with missing sections and door wings, the asphalt pavement is with bumps and with improper incline for natural drainage and the supporting wall is not enough to keep the dirt, leading to blockage of the drainage grid with dirt and vegetation during heavy rain, thus keeping the water on the sport field. The current project proposal leads to improvement of the conditions of the sports playgrounds and the running track of Secondary School “Maksim Raykovitch”, which will lead to optimization of the expenditures for modernization of the sports playgrounds that are municipal property. The implementation of project “Renovation of sports playgrounds in Secondary School “Maksim Raykovitch” – town of Lyaskovets” aims to achieve the following results: •Improvement of the sports playgrounds and running track of Secondary School “Maksim Raykovitch” and creating environment for sport activities for the students during PE classes and for conducting mass events; •Providing access to sport playgrounds and running tracks, suitable for different types of sport: basketball, football, handball and others.
