"Preparatory actions for transnational cooperation in the field of local identity and sustainable development"

Experience shows that cooperation between local action groups provides innovative opportunities to reach the objectives of the Leader approach, extends the opportunities for exchange of experience and know-how, and transnational cooperation promotes the building of a sense of community and identity of European rural areas. In this spirit, the purpose of this preparatory action project is to identify, develop and prepare a transnational cooperation project to help participating EU partner LAGs to turn their local identity into a prerequisite for sustainable development of territories by creating, developing and promotion of a joint product, event and landmarks. To achieve the objectives of the project proposal are planned preparatory activities related to: 1) Conducting workshops with identified potential partners and clarifying the views on cooperation and signing a partnership agreement. 2) Carrying out: training, on alignment of the policies of the FAMO in real actions and projects; workshop to defining the objectives, activities and results of the project proposal; and public discussion of the transnational cooperation project. 3) Conducting a preliminary local identity survey as a prerequisite for the sustainable development of LLGs; exploring existing opportunities for the development of local crafts and traditions as cultural and tourist opportunities for development; developing a transnational cooperation project. 4) Publicity and information activities, including 2 publications in regional media and production of 200 notebook. 5) Coordination of the implementation of preparatory actions. The main expected results are: a signed partnership agreement and a transnational cooperation project. The project will be implemented in the EU territory, ie. the territory of the partner LAGs for 6 months.
