Modernization of an orchard in the village of Benkovski, Avren municipality, Varna district

The present project proposal presents the intentions of agricultural producer Bilyana Tsoneva Radeva to expand and modernize her hazelnut orchard by planting 55,703 decars of hazelnuts and 10.195 decars of lavender, delivering movable containers for the employees, constructing an irrigation installation, fencing the property, building a well and installing photo-voltaic panels for independent electricity generation for the needs of the orchard. After realization of the project, the farmer will produce hazelnuts, which he believes will be able to successfully realize. This is why it is from the outset that the most advanced introduction to agriculture is used. The planned investment in modern equipment will significantly improve the quality and technological characteristics of the production, will help to meet agrotechnical deadlines, reduce production costs and complement the existing machinery to reach the balance needed for economically stable production. As a result, jobs will be created in an area where much of the land is currently desolate. These activities are fundamental to build a long-term strategy, as well as to implement modern agricultural solutions that will enhance the ability to maintain high competitiveness. The current project is part of the strategy for building a modern economy, the aim being to provide it with adequate technical equipment. The possibility that part of the costs of modernizing the orchard can be financed under the Rural Development Program through the local development strategy further stimulates the farmer to prepare and implement the investment program. The business plan produced under the project proves the viability of the project proposal as well as the sustainability of the activities in terms of production, employment, implementation of measures for environmental protection and improvement of the energy efficiency of the farm.
