New equipment for “SUN SMILE” OOD, in support of the development of dental tourism in the municipality of Sandanski=

This project is designed for the technical modernization and renovation of dental ambulatory in the towns of Sandanski and Melnik. The general objective of the project is the investment in hi-tech equipment for the practice of SUN SMILE – Group Practice for Out-of-hospital Practice in Dental Medicine OOD, which will provide modern, high-quality and timely solutions in the area of stomatology for the population on the territory of the LAG Sandanski. Currently within the territory of the said LAG there is a tangible need for the development of a modern dental center able to provide all the basic services for the local people who nowadays have to choose between visiting the regional center or the capital city when needing a specialized dental treatment. The idea is designed to ensure to the maximum degree possible quality, preciseness and promptness of services. The advantages of the equipment are: ergonomics aiming at making the patient’s experience in the room more comfortable; shortened time for staying in the room and enhanced comfort of attendance. The technologies used by the selected equipment are very sparing with regard to the patients’ health. The objective of the idea is to provide treatment for the so-called “travelling patients”. These are people of Bulgarian origin who work abroad and have very short spare time available throughout the year to solve their dental issues, as well as the tourists coming for recreation and sight-seeing staying longer in the municipality of Sandanski. The modern, innovative, automated, hi-tech equipment as envisaged by the project offers a large spectrum of options regarding the provision of a varied range of dental services and non-standard solutions for the patients. The selected equipment shall facilitate the digitization of the work process thus contributing to reduction of mistakes, avoidance of transfer of analogue information through analogue carriers, and increase of the preciseness of the final product.
