Value increase of local cultural and natural heritage for sustainable development in tourism

The project aims for extensive research, revival, preservation, publicizing and development of local cultural and natural heritage. Three are the axes identified through thorough research and analyses and they are corresponding to the local necessities and challenges. Each investment priority is consistent with its particular objective. Establishing E-workshop of local history for studying and exploring the cultural and historical sights, regional customs and traditions, local folklore; photo exhibition for the promotion of local cultural values with the necessary promotional materials for its publicizing is vital for the revival, preservation and enrichment of the local identity. A green programme for pupils is instrumental in engaging the youths in the preservation of the natural and cultural heritage. Young people would acquire additional knowledge about the ecosystems and biological diversity, about the particular way of life and cultural heritage in Bulgaria and the region, about the relations between man and nature. “Cultural and natural heritage of my place of origin – visual trail for memory” competition would emotionally engage the young people in the creation of product that would publicize the local cultural and natural wealth and would directly correspond to the increased demand for authentic tourism and the trending interest for nature preservation.
