"Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Renovation of Sites in the Municipality of Nikopol" Sub-Act 1 "Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of" Vasil Levski "Street, village of Cherkovitsa, Nikopol Municipality" Subproject 2 "Renovation of Livingstone Coastal Park

The main objective of the project proposal is the realization of investments in the field of transport infrastructure on the territory of the Municipality of Nikopol and the promotion of social inclusion and improvement of the quality of life in the town of Nikopol and the municipality as a whole by improving the facilities and providing a healthy and safe environment population. The rural network in rural areas is relatively well developed but not well maintained, it is depreciated and needs rehabilitation. The poor state of a part of the street network serving rural areas increases the cost of existing businesses and reduces the incentive for investment. Difficulties are the daily trips of residents, which leads to a reduction in the intra-territorial mobility of the workforce (job opportunities in other settlements without a change of residence) and access to services. Sub-item 2. "Renovation of Livingston Coastal Park, on the one hand, meets the needs of the population in the municipality, both in terms of the quality of the street network and in terms of improving living conditions in the area. Livingston Coastal Park is the face of the city of Nikopol. To the west, it borders with Port of Nikopol, on whose port ships cruise ships carrying foreign tourists. The park is the first thing that tourists see, going down from the ships and usually spending time for rest and recreation. For 2018 the park was visited by more than 13,000 tourists, transported by 92 ships. In the eastern part of the park, the park borders with the bus station, where bus stops from the interurban lines serve the citizens of the municipality, as well as connecting Nicopol with the Regional town of Pleven, Svishtov and the capital Sofia. Awaiting the departure of buses, many passengers use the park for rest, especially during the summer months.
