Municipality of Novi pazar - an attractive cultural, historical and tourist center

The project proposal aims to provide a modern and aesthetic environment for improving the quality of the overall tourist product of Novi Pazar Municipality, through the improvement of the tourist infrastructure and new attractions for the visitors in "Stanata" area. The idea of the project is to revive the community-serving functions of the area as a recreation area, picnics and outdoor sports. "Stanata" is a forested area, located 6 km. from Novi Pazar, known in the past as a favorite destination for eco-tourism, student camps and cultural events. The project includes the following activities: 1. Establishment of picnic areas in 2 municipal properties in the "Stanata" area. There will be 17 tourist shelters with tables, benches, barbecues and waste bins. Each of the shelters has a capacity of 14 seats. 2. Installation of children's facilities and separation of 5 play areas. 3. Construction of 4 roadside rest areas, each with 3 benches. 4. Construction of 1 tourist shelter and 2 benches for relaxation at a spring fountain in the area of Baalar Fountain. 5. Restoration of a spring fountain near to “Stanata” and installation of 2 benches. 6. Landscaping and planting activities for 60 Atlas cedar and Black pine trees. 7. Placing of 12 information 10 signboards in the picnic area, next to the 2 fountains and along the road. 8. Development of a Marketing and Advertising Program for the Development of Integrated Cultural, Historical, Rural and Eco-Tourism in the Municipality and Marketing of the Destination. With the implementation of the project the tourist services in Novi Pazar municipality will be complemented and diversified with new products and attractions, with opportunities for festival and event tourism, integrated rural and cultural-historical tourism, weekend breaks, student tourism.
