"Exposing the cultural and historical heritage by creating a Visitor Center in Svilengrad municipality"

The project proposal is targeted towards improving the conditions for development, sustainment and popularization of the rich cultural heritage on the territory of Svilengrad municipality. The project will provide innovative methods for presenting cultural heritage in the area. The main project activity is to do a renovation of an existing building in the village of Mezek in order to turn it into a tourist center. The purchase of needed equipment and furniture is also planned in the project. The activities around the project are in-hand with the municipality’s plan for development for the period 2014 – 2020, as well as the program for tourist development in the area. Also included in the project is the needed completion and supervision of the expected construction activities. When the project is completed Svilengrad municipality will execute the measures for information and publicity as given in the „Beneficiary's Unified Guide for Implementation of the Information and Communication”.
