"Purchase of equipment for an endocrinology office in the town of Gotse Delchev"

The present project proposal envisages the purchase of a high-class ultrasound scanner and an osteodensitometer for the needs of the endocrinological practice of Dr. Tatiana Metalova in the town of Gotse Delchev. The equipment will make it possible to increase the quality of the offered health services by better diagnosing and respectively prescribing the correct medical therapy. Osteodensitometry is a method that is used worldwide and is indisputable in the diagnosis of osteoporosis and fracture risk. Experts recommend annual measurement of bone mineral density and in cases of monitoring the effect of treatment. In thyroid diseases, elastography is an additional method that increases the accuracy and specificity of the standard ultrasound examination and allows assessment of the condition of the regional lymph nodes in the presence of metastases. The implementation of the project will provide with modern and reliable technical resources the medical practice of Dr. Metalova, which will increase the capacity to provide quality health care in the field of endocrinology in Gotse Delchev and the service region, which includes residents of 4 municipalities: Gotse Delchev, Garmen, Hadjidimovo and Satovcha. It is planned to create additional employment - 1 new job. The project aims to ensure sustainable development and increase the competitiveness of the endocrinological medical practice of Dr. Metalova.
