„THE UNKNOWN TREASURES OF DOBRUDJA“

The project plans organized participation of 100 amateurs from all community centers in the municipality of Krushari in the Romanian-Bulgarian Folklore Festival, held annually in Tulcea, Romania. The aim of the festival is to develop the cultural exchange between the two countries, to encourage the creative abilities of the groups, to present the folklore traditions of Bulgaria and Romania. For their participation in the festival event, all community centers will prepare a common folklore program entitled "I love my custom." Within the framework of the general amateur performance, reconstructions of typical elements of holidays from the ritual calendar will be made - Christmas, Lazarus, Easter, St. George's Day, Midsummer's Day, Eid al-Adha and Sheker Bayram. The project will cover the travel expenses of local amateurs, as well as the purchase of 30 sets of women's Dobrudzha costumes, necessary for the stage participation of amateurs to newly opened groups in the community centers of Telerig, Efr. Bakalovo and Lozenets.
