Promotion of the contribution of the Roma community in the development of the culture and customs of the municipality of Lom

The project proposal provides activities related to preservation and protection of the unmovable cultural heritage of the Roma community in Local initiative group Lom. The main activities of the project are related to the preparation and implementation of the targeted research, development and promotion of the cultural heritage and way of life of the Roma population from the territory of Local initiative group Lom. The activities of the project are related to the organizing events related to presentation and valorization of the local cultural heritage and customs. As a result of this survey will be published book, focusing on several elements: 1. History: - The Roma during the war; - Self-organization of the Roma community; - Personalities; 2. Tradition, way of life and culture: - Roma holidays, custom, wedding rituals, funeral rites, Baene practices, bullet casting practices, healing practices, traditional Roma dishes; - Social relations, model of the traditional Roma family; - Roma crafts, theater, ensemble, orchestras. For the purposes of the study will be hired interviewers, representatives of the Roma community in Lom and neighboring villages. They will be young people and people from vulnerable groups. To facilitate their work, under the project will be purchased dictaphone which will be recorded interviews with respondents of the survey. The results of the study and the book will be presented at a special event to promote the book as well as during the other two events planned under the project - exhibition of Roma life and workshop to present traditional Roma cuisine. For the realization of events, the beneficiary has its own halls for which equipment will be purchased under the project - exhibition showcases.
