Purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment covering the requirements of biosecurity in the livestock farm

Mr. Georgiev is applying with a project under Selection Procedure № BG06RDNP001-4.008 "Target admission for farmers in the Livestock sector" for the purchase of specialized agricultural machinery and equipment serving a cow farm with a capacity of 100 bovine animals. The subject of the investment covers biosecurity of the farm - and physical measures that reduce the risk of the penetration, development and spread of animal diseases and, last but not least, the production of quality milk. The investment aims to directly improve the conditions of animal husbandry, ie. increase of comfort and hygiene of breeding, nutrition, which will significantly contribute to the reduction of diseases and increase of productivity. on the one hand, it is very labor-intensive and time-consuming, and workers enter the farm, leading to the penetration and spread of animal diseases. The cultivation of the areas is done by renting equipment from neighboring farms, the existing one is old and depreciated. Investing in a milking parlor with a central milk line will increase the welfare of animals and increase the quality of milk produced. The capacity of machinery and equipment - subject of investment is fully consistent with the capacity of the farm and crops grown, which are entirely animal nutrition, income from the crop sector is not generatedThe introduction and operation of machinery and equipment will lead to: • daily cleaning and sanitation inside and outside the farm; • reducing the access of outsiders to the farm; • loading and unloading activities by groups of feed - concentrated, bales of hay; .quality milk.
