Comprehensive modernization and improvement of biosecurity-related conditions in a dairy cow farm

With the present Project, the agricultural producer Elena Panayotova applies for financial support under Measure 4, “Investments in tangible assets”, Sub-measure 4.1, “Investments in agricultural holdings” of the Rural Development Programme 2014 - 2020, according to Ordinance No. RD 09-522 dated 03.07.2020, issued by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry. In its entirety, the project envisages a large-scale technological modernization of the existing cattle farm managed by the applicant, with the aim to optimize the processes in the farm, ensure the welfare of livestock and guarantee the biosecurity within the holding. The investment program proposed by Elena Panayotova for financial support with this Project, is based on a technological project developed upon request of the farmer, and includes the implementation of measures in five main practical areas, as follows: 1. Improving the overall management of the herd bred in the farm; 2. Providing technical support of the processes within the holding; 3. Improving the farming conditions in order to guarantee the livestock welfare; 4. Optimizing the feeding of the herd; 5. Ensuring the management of the manure generated on the farm. Thus, with the practical implementation of this Project proposal, a complex positive effect will be achieved, which will reflect not only on the economic but also on the purely professional performance of Elena Panayotova as a cattle breeder.
