Market trends over the last 10 years have increased farmers' interest in raising dairy sheep over meat. In our farm in the village of Visoka Mogila, municipality Boboshevo, region Kyustendil, in recent years are raised from 220 - to 250 sheep, a synthetic population of Bulgarian dairy sheep, which are under selection control. They form herds, and the animals inhabit a livestock building divided into sectors with an adjoining yard. They are mainly grown on pasture, due to the favorable climatic conditions and the possibility to reduce the cost of production. The new market conditions in the sector and the expansion of the farm require modernization and development of the material base and equipment to ensure the sustainable existence of the farm and its biosecurity, as well as to increase productivity and improve working conditions on the farm.
