Increasing the biosecurity in the pig complex in the village of Golyamo Vranovo

With the current investment project "Pig Complex-Golyamo Vranovo-Invest" AD applies for financial support in order to improve biosecurity measures on the farm and reduce the risk of affecting the livestock farm of the company from infectious diseases of pigs. The pig complex is one of the largest livestock complexes , which in 2019 fell under the scope of the infection as a result of which by Order № RD11-1468 / 26.07.2019 of the Executive Director of the BFSA was declared a primary outbreak of African swine fever in a pig farm with registration № 7065A -0001, located in the village of Golyamo Vranovo, municipality. Plum field, region Ruse. The area where the Golyamo Vranovo pig farm is located has been declared a particularly dangerous area under a Commission Decision on animal health control measures in relation to African swine fever in certain Member States (17.02.2020), which predetermines the need for the highest biosecurity measures upgrading the minimum required. The management team of the pig farm has analyzed several weak points that can be upgraded and ensure full biosecurity in the farm and in this line of thought the investments aimed at biosecurity for which this project is applied are: -Construction of additional silo facilities for safe storage of primary fodder in which to disinfect and store decontaminated and quarantined fodder (grain and meal) -Purchase of 8 pcs. compound feed silos with a funnel disinfection system, feeding the animal feed systems with feed. -Purchase of filters for intake air with water wall to 11 pcs. pig inspection buildings -Purchase of 1 pc. Pass-through installation for disinfection of industrial tires and chassis with a moving vehicle. -Purchase of 1 pc. Automated cleaning robot Purchase of 1 pc. Disinfection and structuring system for drinking water for animals
