With the project proposal “GERAN 99” EOOD applied under Selection Procedure №BG06RDNP001-5.001 under sub-measure 5.1 “Support for investments in preventive measures aimed at limiting the consequences of probable natural disasters, adverse climatic events and catastrophic events” from measure 5 “Recovery of agricultural production potential affected by natural disasters and the introduction of appropriate preventive measures "of the Rural Development Program for the period 2014-2020. As of the date of application under the Rural Development Program for the period 2014-2020, the main activity of GERAN 99 EOOD is breeding and fattening of pigs of the breeds Danbred Maximus and Danbred Maxter. During the forecast period of the business plan the company will continue to breed the same breeds. The subject of the project proposal is the construction of an openwork fence along the property boundaries of the livestock site with a total length of 1,663 m. in the amount of BGN 230,723.10 without VAT. The fence will be made of metal profiles 60/40 mm every 200 cm and a fence panel of metal profiles. The steel frame will step on a concrete plinth 20 cm wide and 60 cm high above the ground. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2021. A prerequisite for such an investment is the intensive development of African swine fever in wild animals. The construction of a complete fence around the livestock site will practically eliminate the risk of transmission of the infection from wild animals on the territory of the industrial farm. The farm has traditions and extensive experience in breeding and fattening pigs, has the potential to increase the production of livestock products, is commercially oriented and has established contractual relations for the sale of products. Preventing African swine fever on the farm is key to the company's business.
