Investments related to measures to increase biosecurity in existing livestock farms

Poultry farming in Bulgaria is a branch with traditions, but a serious threat to the development of the sector is the spread of influenza (influenza) in birds. Avian influenza is a highly contagious viral disease of poultry and wild birds, characterized by severe neurological disorders, hemorrhages in various organs and systems, damage to the respiratory system, which can lead to 100% mortality in domestic and wild hens. One of the ways in which the disease spreads is improper disposal of farm waste and low levels of biosecurity. The disease generates serious losses for the affected farms. In this regard, all biosecurity measures have been taken with this project for the livestock breeding establishments, defined in Ordinance № 44 of 20.04.2006 on the veterinary medical requirements for the breeding establishments (promulgated SG No. 41 of 19.05.2006). ., namely: - Construction of a warehouse for temporary storage and decontamination of manure in PI 17991.160.51 in the village of Grablevtsi, municipality.
