Development of a young farmer farm in Northwest Bulgaria

Young farmers are a guarantee for the future of agricultural activity. They are holders of new skills and professional qualifications in the agricultural sector. The higher education level of young farmers will lead to easier adaptation of the sector to the upcoming changes, to the search for opportunities for higher productivity and competitiveness. Antonia Tsvetanova Kosharska was first registered as a farmer on 12.04.2017. The young farmer is a perennial orchard planted with plums, which currently occupy a total area of ​2,2 ha. Plums are grown on a property located in the town of Koinare, Cherven Bryag, Reg. Pleven, for which the applicant has a legal basis - Contract for agricultural land lease. The applicant is an independent enterprise within the meaning of LLME and has no participations in commercial enterprises. The strategy for the development of the farm is drawn up for the period 2018-2023 and is based on the linking of the available economic potential with the development of the human capital, of the production and natural resource. As a result of the implementation of the business plan for the third year, the farmer will manage a viable agricultural holding with lasting market positions that meets Community requirements in the sector, revealing and supporting a new job, which will achieve the stated objectives of the sub-measure 6.1 of the PDRR.
