Growing of existing permanent crops of 21,799 decares of plums, creation of new 5,000 decares of plums and purchase of agricultural machinery

The project proposal includes the cultivation of existing permanent crops of 21,799 decares and 3,666 decares of land left to lie fallow in the current 2017/2018 economic year under the rules of organic production. From the economic 2018/2019 to 2022/2023 marketing year, the farmer wil lgrow 1,833 decares of potatoes and 1,833 decares onions according to the rules of organic production. It is planned to purchase a sprayer - 1 pc. in 2019 at an estimated value of 2 800,00 lv. In 2020, the farmer plans to acquire professional skills and competencies by completing a 150-hour course in agriculture and training on key environmental protection issues in agricultural sector by completing a course or participating in information activities on these issues with a minimum of 8 hours. The farmer plans to create 1 new job in his farm in 2020. In the same year, the applicant will rent an agricultural land of 5,000 decares to create permanent plum plantations in 2020. The estimated value of the new 5,000 decares of plantations of plums is 1,475 lv. It is envisaged that the whole farm will switch to organic production, namely vegetables (potatoes and onions) and new prunes will be grown according to the rules of organic production, for which purpose an annex to contract with the controller.
