Sub-measure 6.1 "Start-up for Young Farmers" under Measure 6 "Development of farms and enterprises" of the 2014-2020 Rural Development Program.

The candidate's estate located in the village of Malko Briagovo, Madzharovo, region Haskovo, which grows 6,776 decares of natural meadows, 10,500 decares of permanent plantations and 140 bee families. There is a SPO of 11 355,87 EUR / 22 210.16 BGN. The crops are grown on two plots of land with a total area of 17,276 decares, which the applicant manages for a tenancy basis.The same rental agreement is a basis for the use of a 1,300-acre property on which a bee is located. The property has a residential building and an outbuilding that the applicant uses for the needs of beekeeping. Nuts are seven-year-old and now enter a period of fruiting. The natural meadow is a grassy area with a way of sustainable use-levels. Bee families are healthy and productive. The bee hives in which the young farmer grows the bee families are the Dadan-blat system. They are in very good condition - healthy and well protected, located on raised, wind-protected, well-exposed terrain. Bees are grown in keeping with the specifics of the chosen technology. Prophylactic events are programmed. The area where the apiary is located is favorable for the growing of bee families - diverse polyfloral honeycomb vegetation, lack of pollutants in the surrounding environment. There are no permanent staff on the farm. Agro-technical activities are carried out by the applicant and through the hiring of equipment and manpower. The farmer adheres to the technological deadlines for the respective treatments, applying good agricultural practices. Young Farmer will sell the resulting walnut production on the vegetable retail market or through wholesale sales on the farm. The honey production also plans to sell on different market channels, looking for the optimal financial option.
