Growing and development of a farm in the Fruit and Vegetables sector in Varna region

Zdravko Mestendikov was registered as a farmer from 23.02.2018g according to Ordinance № 3 of 29.01.1999 for establishing and maintaining a register of agricultural producers. At present, Zdravko Mashtendikov's farm consists of orchards and more specifically: 1,17 ha of apricots and 0,9 ha of plums, which are located in the village of Avren, Avren (apricots) and in the village of Golitsa, Dolny Chiflik (plums). The properties on which the plantations are located are taken by the applicant under lease. The aim of the project proposal is to create a competitive, sustainable and viable agricultural holding, producing quality organic production as well. This objective will be achieved through the following main activities: -Reaching compliance with existing and newly introduced EU standards; -Increasing the economic size of the farm with 0,6 ha plums; -Investment in long-term fixed assets -orchard shears; -Finishing course that includes training on key environmental protection issues in the agricultural sector; -Acquiring professional skills and competences in the field of agriculture; - Conversion to organic farming of the farm; -Creating additional employment and new jobs in the farm - 1 new workplace.
