Supporting the process of creating a viable and sustainable farm of a young farmer orchard.

The holding of the beneficiary is a crop related to the cultivation of orchards - 21,289 dk. peaches and cherries. It is located in the territory of Sliven, Sliven municipality, Sliven region. The plantations are located on six plots of land managed under a lease. All orchards are on irrigated areas, and at the time of application there is a drip irrigation system. In the current year, the beneficiary has entered into a contract with a certification organization for the transition to organic cultivation of orchards. It plans to increase the size of arable land and farmland by including new plots of fruit - planting new peach plantations - 8,000 dk, which also grows organically. Currently, it does not have the necessary agricultural equipment and uses external mechanized services. Another objective of the applicant is to improve the mechanization of the holding by purchasing agricultural machinery, plant and equipment for the needs of the farm. Her intentions are to invest some of the funds in purchasing a motor pump to carry out some of the agro-technical activities in plantations - watering. Along with improving the physical condition of the farm, it will do the necessary to acquire skills and competences by passing training on the main problems of environmental protection in the agricultural sector under sub-measure 1.1 "Vocational training and skills acquisition". The project also sets goals with social focus - opening new jobs. The candidate's foresight is to create additional employment by opening a new workplace with a production focus on the farm.
