Creation of a viable and sustainable farm and creation of new jobs by the young farmer Hristo Zhivkov Demirov.

The current agricultural activity of the applicant includes the cultivation of fruit berries - raspberries with a total utilized agricultural area of 29.055 decares. The plantations are cultivated in a biological way, with 18,300 decares certified as organic and the remaining 10,755 decares are in a transition period. There is a contract for control and certification with "BALKAN BIOSERT" Ltd. - Plovdiv. All properties are certified by Notary Certified Lease Contracts and are rented with the raspberries planted thereon. The activity of the holding is carried out entirely on the territory of the village Ruzena, Municipality of Kazanlak, Stara Zagora District. The farmer does not have his own agricultural machinery. If necessary, agricultural machinery is rented or external mechanized services are used. There are no irrigation facilities, buildings or other facilities on the property. Plant protection chemicals and fertilizers are not used or stored on the holding. The requirements for keeping fertilizer logs and plant protection measures for all properties are complied with. The applicant himself organizes and manages his activity. The farm is assigned production staff during campaigning periods when harvesting the fruits. Observing the standards of safe working conditions. The activities needed for restructuring and adaptation of the farm are related to the maintenance of the existing perennial plants with raspberries and the hiring of 8,100 decares of raspberries in 2020. The applicant's plans are for them to be hired at the beginning of the 2020/2021 economic year and to be included in the biological activity of the holding. To improve the mechanization of the farm, a hose sprayer will be purchased in 2019. By the end of 2020, the applicant will complete a course of 150 hours and a course on conservation of environmental components in the agricultural sector. Early in October 2019 an increase in farm employment will be achieved.
