Supporting the process of creating a viable and sustainable farm of a young farmer orchard.

The holding is a plant-growing affiliate with the cultivation of orchards - peaches and vegetables in the open air. It is located in the land of Sliven, Sliven municipality, Sliven. The orchards are located on two plots under a rental contract and the PI on which the vegetables are grown is owned by the applicant. All areas are irrigated, with a drip irrigation system built. For peaches, the variety composition is consistent with soil climatic conditions. Mainly varieties for fresh consumption and klinging (for processing) are grown. At an area of ​​5,701 decares, outdoor vegetables are grown - such as spinach preculture and a main crop of tomatoes. During the current 2017/2018 economic year, the applicant handles 10,701 decares of orchards with peaches and 5,701 decares of vegetables. During this year, he has signed a contract with a certification organization for the transition to organic cultivation of orchards. It plans to buy 6,000 cubic meters of agricultural land and to create an orchard of peaches, which also grows biologically. Currently, the applicant does not have the necessary agricultural equipment and uses external mechanized services. His intentions are to invest some of the money in buying a motor mower to keep the weed's mechanical struggle in the plantations. Along with improving the physical condition of the farm, the applicant will do the necessary to acquire professional skills and competences by attending a minimum of 150 hours in the field of agriculture, including training on basic environmental protection issues in the agricultural sector sub-measure 1.1 "Vocational training and skills acquisition". The project also sets goals with social focus - opening new jobs. The applicant's predictions are to create additional employment by opening a new workplace with a production focus on the farm.
