Start-up support for a young farmer

The project proposal of the farm manager Ivona Vladislavova Sofronieva is in line with the objectives of sub-measure 6.1 "Start-up for Young Farmers" under Measure 6 "Development of farms and enterprises" of the RDP 2014-2020 to facilitate and support the process of setting up of viable and sustainable farms and the promotion of employment. The expected results with a view to implementing the proposed project help to increase the number and share of young farmers in order to ensure sustainable development and facilitate structural changes in agriculture as well as to promote employment and job creation. The project proposal presents an agricultural holding consisting of 17,854 decares planted with open-cut garden tomatoes, located in the land of the village of Pokrayna, Vidin municipality, Vidin district. With a view to developing the farm and increasing its economic size, it is planned to plant 27,854 decares of perennial plums. The strategy for the implementation of the project activities envisages the purchase of a tractor in order to improve the modernization of the farm, participation in training for acquiring professional qualification in the field of agriculture and training for protection of environmental and water components, as well as transition to organic production for mining quality and environmentally friendly agricultural fruit plums products and creating employment for one person.
