Project under sub-measure 6.1 "Start-up support for young farmers" for perennial cultivation of plums and apples, vegetables - tomatoes open-cut, alfalfa and meadow management.

The present project concerns the cultivation of perennial crops: 13,500 decares of plums, 1,400 decares of apples, 5,600 decares of tomatoes - open production, 4,400 decares of alfalfa and 3,400 decares of meadows in the area of the village of Barlooznica, Slivnitsa, Sofia district. The applicant has signed a control and certification contract under Regulation (EC) 834/2007 for plums and they are in a transition period to organic production. During the years of implementation of the business plan, the applicant plans to invest in the purchase of a tractor and to increase the size of the arable land by creating 6,000 decares of perennial plums in autumn 2019. The planned increase in the holding will be entirely cultivated of crops by biological method, for which he / she will conclude a contract / annex with a controlling person for controlling compliance with the rules of organic production. At the latest in the second business year, a permanent job will be opened. During the implementation of the business plan, the applicant will receive training on basic environmental protection issues in the agricultural sector, as well as a minimum 150 hours course for acquiring professional skills and competencies in the field of agriculture.
