Growing of existing 21.76 decares of permanent cherry plantations, creation of 6,538 decares of new cherries plantations and purchase of agricultural machinery

The project proposal includes the cultivation of 21,760 decares of existing permanent cherry plantations from the present 2017/2018 economic year to the fifth 2022/2023 economic year. To create 3,538 decares of permanent cherry plantations at an estimated value of 815,00 leva in 2018 and cultivation until the fifth 2022/2023 economic year. Purchase of a sprayer at a projected value of B 4,000.00 leva in 2019. In 2020, another 3,000 decares of cherries at an estimated value of 729.00 leva will be created, which will be raised to the fifth 2022/2023 economic year. In addition to the establishment and cultivation of permanent crops and the purchase of agricultural machinery, the farmer provides for the acquisition of professional skills and competences by completing a 150-hour course in the field of agriculture and a minimum of 8 hours including training on key environmental protection issues in the agricultural sector or participating in information activities on these issues. The farmer provides for the creation of 1 new work place on his farm. Available permanent cherry plantations are in transition to organic production, and new cherries are also grown under organic farming rules.
