Development of a young farmer farm in Northwest Bulgaria

Young farmers are a guarantee for the future of agricultural activity. They are holders of new skills and professional qualifications in the agricultural sector. The higher education level of young farmers will lead to easier adaptation of the sector to the upcoming changes, to the search for opportunities for higher productivity and competitiveness. The Applicant under Sub-Measure 6.1 "Start-up for Young Farmers" under Measure 6 "Development of Farms and Enterprises" is Vladimir Ventsislav Iliev. He was first registered as a farmer on 16.04.2018 in the Agriculture Department of Pleven. A fruit-growing orchard planted with plums, currently occupying a total area of ​​11,475 decares. Plum plantations are grown on a property, located in a land plot: Pleven, Pleven, Reg. Pleven, for which the applicant has a legal basis - Contract for lease of agricultural land from 03.04.2018. The orchard is in the process of certification for organic production, for which the applicant has signed a contract with "Institute for Control of Organic Products" "BIO Elas" on 03.05.2018 - Plovdiv. Under this contract, the certification organization takes control action in accordance with the current Bulgarian and European legislation of the farm, which will help to develop sustainable management of agricultural land and the production of organic products. The farm will strictly comply with the requirements of Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007 on organic production and labeling of organic products and Regulation (EC) No 889/2008 laying down detailed rules for the application of Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007, as well as the applicable national legislation, on the sustainable management of arable land and the production of quality organic products.
